how does hi5 get al the buisness and who owns it
How does hi5.com get al the traffic?
Ramu Yalamanchi is the CEO of hi5. You can see his hi5 profile here:

hi5 gets traffic like most social networking sites - by word of mouth. Someone joins, then invites all their friends to join, who in turn invite all their friends to join, etc. Revenue is made mostly through banner ads and Adwords on the site.
Here's a couple wikipedia articles on hi5 and Ramu.

Reply:A lot of their traffic would be misdirected from the very successful Australian TV show "hi5" which is a kids show with lots of music.
I would say it is owned by a cyber squatter who is waiting for the right offer to sell the domain name.
Reply:Ramu yalamanchi owns it.

Somehow I "joined" hi5 and started getting emails about eligible males - the first one appeared on my 30th wedding anniversary! I can only guess that I accepted something in Facebook from a friend. I don't normally join games or anything where I have to accept to give out my information for this very reason. Now I am afraid of what else I am going to "join". I had to cancel my account, but to do that I first had to "log in" and then I got two emails almost immediately after I canceled my account that someone had "bought" me??? WTF???? I hadn't been on Facebook in over a month, and I got my first Hi5 email just yesterday...so I have no idea how I 'Joined". If I get anymore emails from them, I will be really mad. These social sites are nothing but a front from the marketing they do with the information they steal from you. Don't get sucked in.
